付智明畢業於廣州美術學院，現為職業畫家。這次受澳門牛房倉庫邀請，先前曾特意來澳收集資料采風。本次展覽展出付智明近期創作的紙上系列抽象作品近40幅，其中約10幅是這三個月所畫的澳門題材新作。畫面所流露的是蒼茫歷史情懷，也是付智明作品最典型的語言形態。

厚堆的飢理和充滿個性的筆觸，是付智明典型的油畫語言。但這批紙上系列，清晰地呈現出付智明的藝術心靈軌跡，它以最單純的方式揭示了藝術家關注點是時間與空間。儘管畫面沒有苦行僧似的厚重表層肌理，卻依然體現了他對時間流變的細膩觀照，儘管畫面的尺寸的縮小，但其宏大的氣象與氣場依舊攝人心魄。

Fu Zhiming is a professional painter and a graduate from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. At Ox Warehouse invitation, Zhiming paid a special visit to Macao to collect information, ‘feel the city’ and paint. This exhibition features his Oil on Rice Paper Series, nearly 40 abstract works, ten of which are originals themed on Macao produced in the last three months. His paintings show a peculiar pictorial language, with a thinly veiled concern for historical matters.

Zhiming’s canvases are characterized by thick textures in layers, as well as highly personalized brushstrokes – the painting language of his oils. However, this Oil on Rice Paper Series reveals more clearly the artist’s way of thinking art and his inner landscapes. It shows in simpler ways that Zhiming is now focusing on time and space: while avoiding heavy textures, the works still illustrate his sharp observations on the flow of time and although much smaller than previous creations, these artworks still come across as impressive and magnificent.
