REality – Leung Mee-ping Installation Art Exhibition

《鄉關何處》(Out of Place)是薩依德（Edward. W. said）大半生流亡離鄉在晚年寫的回憶錄，書中追憶其長於斯的阿拉伯世界，漂泊無依和安頓的他方（elsewhere) 體悟滲入字裡行間。我閱讀《鄉關何處》的多重體驗，相信也在閱讀我的自身多重成長經驗。《鄉關何處》(Out of Place）也是有關「他方」在亞洲的提問，是我一個探索了多年的計劃，現在抽出部份在《重返現實》（REality) 展場中為「地方」下註腳。澳門，是個甚麼樣的「他方」？

Out of Place is a memoir written by Edward. W. Said in his old age after being an exile for most of his life. It describes his memory of the Arab world where he grew up, as well as his experiences and reflections of a nomadic life in contrast to settling down elsewhere.

Reading the author’s multiple experiences is also a process for me to read my own experiences as an adult. Out of Place is also a query about the notion of “elsewhere” in Asia, which is a project I have been exploring for years. I now extract part of it as a footnote for the “REality” exhibition. What kind of “elsewhere” is Macao?
