牛房倉庫- 從歷史角度看"廢物"的真正價值 - 陳樹榮講座

牛房倉庫將於6月8日(星期六)下午3點, 《從歷史角度看"廢物"的真正價值》, 由本澳知名歷史學家陳樹榮先生分享他的一些另類收藏, 為6月15日的“我最珍貴的 —‘廢物’ ”展覽作一展前講座, 並讓觀眾從不起眼的舊物中重新體驗澳門歷史留下的痕跡. 歡迎藝術愛好者及市民大眾免費到場分享。
陳樹榮— 澳門學者和報人。廣東寶安人。長期從事文化新聞工作,研究澳門政治經濟文化社會風俗第三十多年。 1986年提出《澳門學》。已撰寫有關澳門的文章發表於報章五百多萬字,參加撰澳門幾部大型辭書,每年應邀出席幾個學術研討會,十多年來較多接受電台,電視台的訪問,參加製作有關節目,現任《澳門日報》副總編輯、澳門歷史學會副理事長、澳門經濟學會副會長、澳門創意產業協會副會長、君亮堂出版社社長等。並任澳門特別行政局政澳門舊區重整諮詢委員會委員。且是孫中山基金會理事、林則除基金會學術顧問、中國民間文藝家協會會員等。長期注重蒐集和整理有關澳門的史料,認真查訪考證有關澳門的文物古蹟,撰寫了一批在學術上頗有新意的澳門史文章。尤其對研究孫中山在澳門的史實貢獻甚多。著作有《孫中山在澳門》,主編《林則徐與澳門》等。

TRIES TO LOOK AT THE TRUE VALUE OF ‘WASTE OBJECTS’ FROM A HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE - The lecturer Mr Chan Su Weng

Ox Warehouse will host a lecture on 8th of June, Saturday 3:00pm, before the opening of the exhibition"THE MOST PRECIOUS-WASTE OBJECTS"on 15th JUNE. The lecturer Mr Chan Su Weng, a renowned local historian, tries to look at the true value of ‘waste objects’ from a historical perspective, by sharingwith attendees his alternative collection of historical value. Through presenting his unattractive 'OldiesBut Goodies' collection,Mr Chan will take participants on a journeyto re-experience the history of Macao, revisiting the city’s old charms. Art lovers and the public are welcome to attend and theadmission is free.

With ancestry fromBoan, Guangdong,Chan Su Weng is a Macao scholar and media man. He has been long engaged in cultural journalism, studying Macao’s politics, economy, culture, and social customs for more than 30 years. He put forwardthe "Macao Studies"in 1986.

Mr Chan has written over five-million-wordsofarticlesaboutMacao, which werepublished on newspapers and magazines, having also cooperated in writing or compilingseveral comprehensivedictionaries andevery year is invited toseveral academic seminars. In the past decade or so, he has been ofteninterviewed by radio and television, while alsotaking part in producing several programmes. He is currently the deputy editor-in-chiefat the Macao Daily, vice president of Macao History Association, vice president of Macau Economic Association and of Macao Creative Industry Association, and chief director of EditoraKuan Leong Tong.

Mr Chan is a member of the ConselhoConsultivopara oReordenamento dos BairrosAntigos de Macau of Macao SAR and also director of Sun Yat-sen Foundation, academic adviser of Lin Zexu Foundation, member of Chinese Folk Literature and Art Society, among others.

Chan has long concentrated on collecting and sorting out historical materials about Macao, conducting on-site investigations and researches on cultural relics and monuments in Macao, as well writing a number of quite academicyet creative articles about Macao history. It’s worth to mentionhis major contribution to the study of historical facts related to Sun Yat-sen’s sojournin Macao. He has published a bookSUN YAT-SEN In MACAO and his chieflyedited works includeLIN ZEXU and MACAO, among others.
