工作坊將用法文主講，廣東話翻譯（如有需要可作英文翻譯）。

引言：

作為一位作曲家與錄像藝術的先行者，Robert Cahen由七十年代開始，便將自己獨有的敏感度注入了錄像媒體的實驗之中，其藝術成就得到了世界性的公認。就像與他同年代的著名錄像藝術家（如Nam June Paik、Bill Viola、Vasulkas）一樣，Robert Cahen也是從音樂出身的，這深深地影響了他在採用錄像媒體時的手法和其作品的內容。由最早期的作品開始，他所建立的關鍵手法一直在確定著他的藝術作品的獨特個性：他那沒有文字的敘述手法，就靠影像與音樂來喚起多重意義。他對影像從定格走到動態的與趣，讓他用慢鏡頭來提升對一般看不見的影像的感知。

於九月份，牛房倉庫有幸請來這位成就卓越又敏感細膩的藝術大師來主持為期五天的錄像藝術工作坊，實在非常難得，各位對影像藝術有濃厚興趣之人士，萬勿錯過！

Introduction:

As a composer and video art pioneer, Robert Cahen has given to video his own sensitive touch since the 1970s until today and he has won recognition worldwide. Like other prominent video artists of his generation (Nam June Paik, Bill Viola, the Vasulkas) he came to video from music and this marked his handling of the technology and the content of his work. He developed in his early video pieces key principles which have characterized his oeuvre until today: a narrative approach scarce in words that relies on images and music to evoke plural meanings, an interest in the implications of the passage from still to moving image, the use of slow-motion to heighten the perception of the otherwise unseen.

This year, September presents an exceptional occasion to have this distinctive and perceptive art master to host a video workshop at the Ox Warehouse. For anyone who is interested in the art of images, it is an opportunity absolutely not to miss!   

工作坊內容：

「過路」的概念是Robert Cahen創作過程的核心。透過「瞥見」中的空間、動作與建構，影像本身被進行探索。慢鏡頭和影像重疊等的手法，能帶領學生們去審視自己對現實的看法。於這五天的工作坊內，參與者帶著自己有興趣的主題，之後與導師一同在澳門取景拍攝，經過後期之剪接與音效製作後，每位學員均會完成自己創作之錄像藝術作品。所有完成之作品均會被導師予以評語和分析。

工作坊之最後成果就像一系列的「錄像明信片」，用極慢的鏡頭、動作或定鏡來製作意想不到的效果。

Outline of workshop:

The Concept of “passing” is the center of Robert Cahen’s creative process. It is through the notion of “Glimpse”; its space, its movement and its construction, that the image itself is explored. Through the visual means of slow motion and overlay of images, the students are guided to examine their own way of seeing the reality. During the five-day workshop, participants are expected to propose their own subject of interest. A series of filming will then take place in Macao with the instructor. After the post-production process on editing and sound, each participant will have finished their own video artwork. All presented works by students will be followed by comments and analyses of the instructor.   

The final results will be a series of “video postcards”, played on the extreme slow motion, animation or a still image to create surprise.

上課時間：晚上七時至九時半（外出拍攝另行安排）
