我不在3 已於上星期日順利開幕，這次展覽以集體創作的形式進行，展覽以城市建築及山作引線，以廢棄物作媒材，建構藝術家心中的"我不在"。

今次已經是第三次在牛房舉行「我不在」，第一次有點抽象，第二次有小橋流水，第三次原來想更別開生面，找不同媒介的人來參加，例如樂隊或加入戲劇元素等，但過程中發現不可行才放棄了，於是唯有集中在視覺上發揮。
過去兩次的「我不在」，各方已經熱烈地探討了其定義，例如不少人認為有禪佛之意等，如今不必探討其定義了，我們轉移集中在實踐創作上。開始時我們會讓參與的藝術家參考過去兩次的展覽，然後我們一起來蘊釀第三次的「我不在」。我們嘗試以牛房周遭的事物出發，我們嘗試發掘牛房的元素。
於是我們集體一起去行山，就是行一次牛房邊的黑鬼山，從中我們體會了城市的差異，山上山下是兩個截然不同的世界，山上是一個人煙罕至之地，山下的世界，雖不算山煙稠密，但百姓在不息的營生、轉動，兩者都別有一番景致。所以今次「我不在」的靈感乃是來自城市的面貌的聯想，山上山下，驟然不同。今次的作品中，我們以不同的材料來建築城市、道路、迷宮等等。就如題目，我不在，即是在尋求嗎？
This is the third edition of the collective ‘I Am Not There’ held in Ox Warehouse. The first was a bit on the abstract; the second with a more natural approach. This time, we originally planned to do something fancy, and decided to invite artists of different fields such as musical bands and drama groups to join, but the plan was aborted due to practical reasons. In the end we were forced to focus on visual effects.
The first two editions of ‘I Am Not There’ enticed a hot debate toward its meaning, for many would think the title itself was related to Zen and Buddhist concepts. For the latest edition we will not be dwelling on theoretical definitions but will rather focus on the practical and creative sides.
First we let participating artists relate to the first two editions. Then all those involved start planning ‘I Am Not There III’ together, trying to rediscover Ox Warehouse new taking on Warehouse’s surroundings.
To fill the mission, we hiked in group to Mong Ha Hill, just behind Ox Warehouse, from which we could discover the city’s diversity. From the top and from down the hill we see two very different worlds: the hilltop is a deserted place, whereas downhill is a vibrant world – though not very crowded – where folks carry on with their lives. Both represent unique urban landscapes.
Therefore, this time’s ‘I Am Not There’ draws inspiration from the association with urban surroundings, from the utter contrast between its uphill and downhill facets. We display works made from diverse materials, combining city, road and maze, just to rephrase the title: “If I Am Not There, Am I in a Quest?”

創作總是很迷惑總是迷失的，究竟我們現在做的方向是否對？就如人生一樣，因為從事創作的人，總對現在質疑，應該做的？不應該做的？理想的？現實的？終究找不到目標，而「我不在」就像是尋找自我，然而又不是！
創作究竟是個人的或是大眾的？究竟是在自我滿足或是需要人認同？在這個展覽中其實並沒有結論，就如人生一樣，我們都在尋找甚麼似的。而那個尋找的過程，人與人之間的關係，那種信任，那種關懷，那種愛，就是一個社會的形成。
「我不在3」將會延續2006年及2007年舉辦的「我不在」及「我不在2」，以集體創作形式展示， 通過一起參加工作坊，藝術家們一起交換意見並彼此啟發，也許會為藝術家們或觀賞者帶來新的啟發與感受。
More than often we are lost in creation, as much as being lost in life, wondering if we are pursing in the right direction. This is because creative people are always questioning about the reality: what ought to be and not to be done? What is the idealistic way? And the realistic? After all we cannot find the goals. The status of “I Am Not Being” seems like a kind of self-discovery, yet not exactly!
Shall creation be a personal or a collective thing? Is it a self-fulfilling process or one that must be recognized by other people? You possibly can’t find answers from this exhibition, just like when we are in the quest of something in our life. Yet the discovery process itself, through which we explore interpersonal relationships of trust, care and love, is a result of a microsociety.

「我就是這樣的」開幕時盤永傑的作品祇是在開始階段，畫得不多，但隨著展覽的進行，他經常在晚上放工後到牛房繼續他的創作。以往他都祇在紙上塗鴉，所以畫了很多畫簿，而這次在牛房這麼大的牆上畫還是第一次。第一次總是困難的，因為牆比紙大得多，又凹凸得多，所以他作了不同的嘗試，希望找出最理想的媒材。盤永傑的創作會一直畫到展覽結束日(24/5)，大家不妨趁這段時候過來牛房看看，同場還有林家健的攝影作品。

因為教學的緣故，接觸了一些愛好藝術的學生，也因為是教興趣班，所以，這些學生都不是讀藝術出身，但他們對於藝術的熱愛並不少於讀藝術出身的人，甚至乎長期在創作中。
最初認識阿傑（盤永傑），發覺他很有繪畫天份，喜歡在功課簿上塗鴉 ，只是以簡單的原子筆作工具，圖像天馬行空靈異鬼怪 ，但原來他沒有正式學習過繪畫，小時候常在上課時畫一些火柴人式的小公仔，十多歲開始畫的東西才慢慢多了些線條，再發展為現在線條複雜的圖畫。那些結構密集的畫像可是要經過深思熟慮所構成的，每一幅A4尺寸的原子筆畫要畫上一個月以上。阿傑也許像很多青年人一般，對將來的發展有點茫無頭緒，也許，他算是個幸運兒，兜兜轉轉他終於可以找到一個可以一展身手的行業為職業。
盤永傑這次創作將把作品直接畫在展場的牆上, 而且這將是一個進行中的展覽, 他會在展覽期間不斷的畫, 直至展覽結束之日, 所以無論你甚麼時候來看展覽, 都將看到不一樣的畫......
讀IT出身的Kevin（林家健）差不多大學畢業才開始接觸攝影，在學校讀完一個攝影興趣班後，接著報讀幾個有關的課程，在此期間認識到不同的攝影，起初先接觸數碼相機，到後來用菲林及針孔相機，嘗試過後還是喜歡菲林的質感，他把Lomo-Hogla 120用135菲林來拍攝，以正片沖負片方法沖菲林，用自己的scanner掃描出來，顏色竟與沖曬出來的偏藍效果不同，色彩豐富，也由於scan的緣故，原來不能從菲林沖曬出來的影像，可以用電腦高反差來顯現，這個年代，電腦與菲林的結合，是最佳拍檔。
和大部分初接觸攝影的人一樣，取材是最難的一項，所以，Kevin很多時都是很隨意的拍攝，也是因為菲林不能立即預知所攝的效果，他反而更隨意的到處拍，構圖空間比起數碼拍攝大膽很多，而他的菲林作品，竟然略帶實驗味道，或許，這就是內心深處的Kevin。
Teaching made me have contact with students who love art. I got to know them during informal ‘hobby’ courses that I tutored, and all of them do not have any formal art education background. But their commitment is no less than those of formal art majors. And they have been in the process of incessant creation over a long term.
Kit Pond impressed me in our first contact with his great painting talent. He likes scrawling on his homework books, using a single ball pen to sketch out eerie images infused with imagination and vigor. Yet the fact is that he has never formally studied painting. In his early childhood, during classes, he liked to draw some small, matchstick-men-like figures. Only after his teen years he gradually drew more lines and eventually developed his drawings into paintings with complicated and delicate lines. These images, elaborately composed, are all fruit of long contemplation – each A4 ball pen-painted page would take him more than one month. Kit, like many other young men, was once at a loss towards his personal future development. Perhaps we can say he is lucky enough to finally find a profession in a sector where he can further develop his talent.
Kevin Lam is an IT graduate. He only got into contact with photography when he was about to complete his university degree. He attended several more relevant courses after taking a first photography ‘hobby’ course in the campus, during which he got to know the different types of photography. Starting with a digital camera, he then switched to film and pinhole cameras. After some time he discovered that he really likes touching the film. He took photos with a Lomo-Hogla 120 using film, developed it by way of “e
For Kevin, and many other photography beginners like him, capturing subjects seems to be the most difficult thing. To overcome this, Kevin usually take photos at free will. In addition, as using film camera won’t allow the photo effects to be seen instantly, he prefers to give himself much more freedom to take pictures wherever possible, thus composing photos with a bolder approach than in digital photographing. This has givend his film works a bit of experimental flavor. Probably that is what Kevin is.

南洋電子音樂會順利完成

壓軸有來自新加坡的aspidistrafly
剛過去的星期日晚, 牛房舉行了一場精彩的音樂會, 這次音樂會邀請了南亞的兩個電子音樂組合新加坡的aspidistrafly及馬來西亞的flica, 同場還邀請本地難得的唱作組合evade作演出嘉賓為音樂會打開序幕。演唱會吸引了大批觀眾前來欣賞, 簡單的旋律、柔情的聲線贏得不少掌聲, 不少歌迷更即場購買他們的最新唱片及排隊簽名。其中兩款CD牛房現尚有售, 歡迎光臨選購。
